GREENWOOD, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenwood police are asking for help identifying suspects and a vehicle sought in a series of car break-ins and fraudulent transactions.

“A few weeks ago, we had a series of vehicles burglarized at the Grace Street Dog Park,” GPD Public Information Officer Jonathan Link stated. “Several individuals had pocketbooks and wallets stolen. Since that time, a number of the victims have dealt with fraudulent charges on credit accounts and their IDs being used to cash fraudulent checks.”

Link said the fraudulent transactions occurred in several places around the Upstate, but were mostly centered around Greenville and Spartanburg.

“That led our investigators to believe that they are tied to some cases from that area, and that they possibly came through Greenwood just looking for easy targets,” Link said of the suspects.

The police department released surveillance photos of a woman, a man, and a minivan sought in connection with the case.

We have some pictures (they’re not great, but they’re better than nothing) that we’d like to put out all over the upstate to see if anyone can identify them.

Anyone with information is asked to call (864) 942-8407.
